Providing advice to employers and employees regarding employment and human resources topics can be a minefield of ever-changing regulations, conflicting statutes, counterintuitive rules and hyper technical requirements. In this fast paced one hour CLE, we will present employment law concepts helpful to attorneys who do not regularly practice law in that area, including:
a. The difference between a "right to work" and "at will employment"
b. When employers are individually liable for violations
c. Applicable statue of limitations for employment claims
d. Hiring and Firing
e. Wage and Hour Issues
f. Common actions by employers that are actually illegal
